MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)

MPEG-DASH is an international standard for adaptive streaming over HTTP, using XML manifests to describe available stream qualities.

MPEG-DASH is a vendor-neutral, ISO-standardized adaptive streaming protocol. It supports any codec and DRM system, making it highly flexible. DASH is the primary delivery protocol for Android devices and Smart TVs.
