Muxing (Multiplexing)
Muxing is the process of combining multiple audio, video, and data streams into a single transport stream for efficient transmission.
In a headend, muxing combines individually transcoded channel streams into multiplex groups for efficient delivery. The reverse process (demuxing) separates individual streams at the receiving end.
