CAS (Conditional Access System)
CAS is a technology that controls access to pay-TV content by encrypting broadcasts and providing authorized subscribers with decryption capabilities.
Conditional Access Systems protect premium content by encrypting the broadcast signal. Only subscribers with valid smart cards or software credentials can decrypt and view the content. Common CAS providers include Nagravision, Irdeto, and Conax.
